Hoffman, Brinker, & Roberts (HBR) is a debt settlement company for consumers with high credit card debt. I became aware of HBR when I started Debt-Tips.com and was looking for reputable companies to recommend to others (the company I used went out of business, not surprisingly, so I could not recommend them).
Sadly, when reading through the various debt reduction forums, it became obvious that there was a lot of bad information and unhappy customers out there. Debt settlement, to my surprise, had a bad reputation.
The first company I found that did not have all the negatives was Hoffman, Brinker & Roberts.
In fact, HBR is one of the few debt settlement companies that actually tries to educate consumers about the process BEFORE trying to sell you anything. Which leads to fewer complaints, and happier customers. I think most people who complain about debt settlement are ones who didn't really know what they were getting into, and were looking for a "magic solution" to their money problems.
